Some Questions For A Wanna Be Senator...
Yesterday's cute little play by the soon to be outgoing Governor of Illinois shouldn't have been too much of a surprise -- indeed, there seems only to be two. One, that Blago could find someone to take his appointment, and, two, that the Democratic Party doesn't seem to have a contingency plan to deal with the situation should Blago actually try to appoint someone. I expected he would and sure would have 'wargamed' that scenario. ( But thats's just me. And ,yes, it is an injustice that I do not recieve vast sums for my political wisdom....) I think their plan is best illustrated by the pootie above.
All that said, their has been some praise for the individual selected, although I have my doubt's. He was, after all, not Blogo's first choice. We don't even know if he was the second. Or third. He sure seems to want it -- to the point of not being slightly cognizant of the baggage attached to the appointment. There may perhaps, be reasons he has often failed to acheive the higher offices he has so clearly aspired to. One of them is below......
