donkeysdiass

A site for and about the Democratic Party and it's politics (in the spirit of DKos-- I'm an unapolegetic Kossack myself) with the objective of helping to elect as many Democrats as possible in both this year and '08. For and about includes history and how we got here so we can figure out the road map out. And that covers a lot of ground. Add your two cent's worth. No refunds.Be advised this is very much a pro Wes Clark site.

Name:

A whole lotta years in the military (Redleg),with a family background that shows an unhealthy bent for all things political(genetic defect). Wife and self owned by cat.

The NetRoots Force in Politics

One would have to been in a political cave the last few year's not to have had some sort of inkling of sort of new revolution sweeping politics -- of all persuasions and leanings, but most particularly in those who lean towards the Democratic Party. After all, it was Howard Dean's campaign of '04 where the disparate parts of the 'intertubes' were for the first time harnessed and re-orged into a viable force. Siince that time there has been an explosion of opinion and organization in what has become known as the blogosphere. Maligned and understated by some, in particular the MSM, it has, nevertheless, thrived and expanded. Even to the point that it has infiltrated said MSM, with many a scruffy 'blogger', now being asked their occaisional opinion. As well, it has pretty much been a given or a while now that the uninternet savvy politico will soon suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Ask George Allen. Remember him?

This weekend a convention was held in Austin. A convention once called Yearly Kos, now called Netroots Nation, that consists of those 'scruffy bloggers'. And once again it was a huge success with many points highlighted. For one check the link below...
