First Amendment Rights-A Nice Concept,But Only That, A Concept....

If one is a republican. The link below outlines a story that most certainly deserves more attention that has received thus far. It's very disturbing to think that a security detail would have have the power to decide what verbal communication could be a threat. Whats most disturbing is that the actual aprehension of the vocal malfeaser was made under pretence of 'assault' by the same arresting officer who recommended a charge of 'harrassment'. It was this man. At a public venue. Where he went to promote his own views and,dare I say, his own First Amendment Rights.




The charges have been dismissed. There is now a law suit alleging violation of both First and Fourth Amendment rights (unreasonable seizure. Damn that archaic Magna Carta). Read the story. I know this is the week of republican't assault on morals but I think that it would be good to keep in mind that it isn't the only assault the GOP has commited against the populace. This deserves some more attention.
