donkeysdiass

A site for and about the Democratic Party and it's politics (in the spirit of DKos-- I'm an unapolegetic Kossack myself) with the objective of helping to elect as many Democrats as possible in both this year and '08. For and about includes history and how we got here so we can figure out the road map out. And that covers a lot of ground. Add your two cent's worth. No refunds.Be advised this is very much a pro Wes Clark site.

Name:

A whole lotta years in the military (Redleg),with a family background that shows an unhealthy bent for all things political(genetic defect). Wife and self owned by cat.

Desperate Measures From A Desperate Party

How times change. A few short years ago the GOP was choking on the money it could raise to finance campaigns, while the Democrats trailed. No more. Faced with plummeting support, a wave of retirements, Minority status, the GOP faces problems on the money side
. Their answer? Recruit rich folk who can finance their own campaigns. People who, no doubt, are oh so well connected with the problems facing the Middle Class. The disapearing class. The party of the rich, by the rich, for the rich. I wonder if Republican organizers are up front with the numbers on self financed campaigns. They are about, oh, 80% unsuccesful. Despeate measures. More below.
